Roland P. Wauthier, CIC
Originally born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Roland moved to Bridgeport, CT and later settled in Easton. He began his insurance career in 1972 at John Hancock Life, one of the largest life insurance companies, which specializes in personal financial services. During his twelve years with John Hancock Life, Roland progressed along the path of agent to Sales Manager where he was responsible for a large sales and clerical staff.
In 1984, Roland moved on from John Hancock to open his own agency, Roland P. Wauthier & Co., Inc., a full service insurance agency located in Stratford, Connecticut. In 1998, Roland sold the property and casualty division of his agency in order to focus on delivering financial services to include Life, Health, Employee Benefits and Pension Plans. Recognizing his clients’ growing needs of a comprehensive package of insurance and financial products, Roland created a new structure by partnering with The Wilson Agency* (which specializes in property and casualty insurance) owned by Charles and Tom Wilson. This partnership delivers a team approach in bringing these three entities together, designed to efficiently meet client demand. Roland is licensed in Life, Health and Accident Insurance as well as Property and Casualty Insurance; and is certified with the Chamber Insurance Trust as a Chamber Healthcare Connector.
He is also a registered representative with Securities America, Inc.; a member of the Million Dollar Round Table*; and formerly served on the Agents Advisory Council for the Connecticut Business and Industry Association whose membership includes companies that employ one or two people all the way to those with many thousands of workers. With his business acumen and attention to personalized client service, Roland now helps with several million dollars in premiums and assets.
Ravi Roopchandsingh, M.Sc.
Ravi began his insurance career in 1995 at what was once the largest insurance company in the Caribbean - the Colonial Life Insurance Company (CLICO, Trinidad) - where he progressed from product research and new product marketing, IT technical and network support and later as the design webmaster for both CLICO and its corporate headquarters, CL Financial. Just before his move to the US, he served as a Project Manager in charge of the imaging and document management team along with assisting other transformation teams that sought to streamline customer service processes for the life and health lines of business.
A graduate of the University of the West Indies, Ravi earned his M.Sc. in Management in 2001 and is licensed in the state of Connecticut in Life, Health and Accident Insurance. He has since played a key role in personally servicing individual and group clients when it comes to Life and Health insurance: from facilitating new and renewal business with plan analysis reports to the day-to-day administration of client accounts.
Ravi is also certified to specialize in Medicare Advantage products, allowing him to offer personalized assistance to Medicare Beneficiaries when they are faced with making the right choice in choosing a medical plan for their golden years.
